On Friday, 12.05.2023 as well as on Saturday, 13.05.2023, BSF Swissphoto was able to carry out current image flights with multi-perspective camera system over the Brandenburg city of Cottbus.
Two aerial missions were carried out with Cessna 206 aircraft from an altitude of 1,000 m above ground. In total, the entire city area was covered with more than 50 flight strips, producing high-resolution vertical and oblique aerial images with a resolution of better than 5 cm. For the first time, the state-of-the-art multi-perspective camera system PAS 880i from the manufacturer Phase One A/S from Denmark was used. The system has a 280 megapixel vertical camera system and four oblique cameras with 150 megapixels each. The extremely high frame rate of up to two releases per second enables the creation of high-resolution measurement images.
Within the Smart City project, BSF Swissphoto is taking on the creation of high-resolution 3D city models as well as the production of other special products for the new open data portal of the city of Cottbus. With the combination of powerful aircraft, qualified personnel and the camera system used, BSF Swissphoto has the optimal solution for data acquisition in the subject area of 3D city models, which are increasingly in demand.
