10 years of Airborne Laserscanning for MML: 200'000 km² in 10 years!

Lidar data for the Finnish land surveying office

BSF Swissphoto has been very successful in acquiring Finnish projects over the last 10 years. In 2014 and 2015, BSF Swissphoto, together with  a partner, was able to carry out large-scale LiDAR data acquisition over approximately 45'720 km² for the Finnish land surveying office Maanmittauslaitos (MML). BSF Swissphoto was again commissioned with LiDAR flights in 2018 and scanned almost 41'000 km² at 1 point/m² in 12 sub-areas in southern to central Finland by the end of 2019. This required ~250 flying hours.

Since 2019, BSF Swissphoto is yearly collection LiDAR data for MML for an area size of approx. 17'000 km² with a point density of 5 points/m² within 100 flying hours.
